Chad Stavley negotiated a $450,000 for a Portland woman injured while a passenger on her husband's motorcycle. The injury occurred when the car in front of the motorcycle pulled onto the road's right shoulder. Then, as the motorcycle passed, the car tried to pull back into the road to do a u-turn and caused a collision. The woman suffered a lower leg fracture that had to be surgically repaired.
The case had to be worked hard because the defendant denied liability. Finally, after significant litigation, the defendant accepted responsibility, and the case was resolved for $450,000.
